Performance

Our improvement  journey so far and all we have achieved

GCSE results have improved every year since 2014. The school was removed from special measures in November 2017 after making strong progress in all recommendations. Since then, we have continued to flourish in our journey to create the best possible learning environment for our young people.

"Outcome of Estyn review: The school is judged to have made sufficient progress in addressing the recommendations from the Section 28 inspection. The school has been removed from the list of schools requiring Estyn review. There will be no further monitoring activity in relation to this inspection."

In 2022, we received our most recent Estyn visit, which you can read the parent version of below. We are really proud of the feedback on our pupil wellbeing and recognition of the work we do to support our ALN pupils.

We would also like to thank the local community for supporting us throughout the transition from the predecessor schools to Eastern High. We are now most definitely on the right track and look forward to an increase in our results next year.
