Mental Health Awareness Week
From May 13th, until May 19th is Mental Health Awareness Week! This week is all about raising awareness and ensuring our young people know where to access help and support.
“Movement: Moving more for our mental health”.
This year's theme is movement. Science tells us that physical activity is good for our mood, we know the release of endorphins helps us feel better. However, it can be really difficult to motivate ourselves if we are struggling. Thus, this year, for Mental Health Awareness Week, we are talking about ways to get moving, even if it is short! Go for a walk, dance around the house, take any tiny opportunity to take care of yourself!
In school, our pupils will continue to learn about how to stay mentally healthy and what to do when they are struggling. We endeavour to provide them with the skills to manage their own wellbeing in the future, and thrive independently.
