Yesterday, our 2 talented pupils, Ameleigh Fiest and Aseel Alhassan went to Y Dosbarth, based at CAVC College, to compete in the Cardiff heat of the Futurechef cookery competition. This saw 5 schools competing in total, with 9 students cooking overall. 

Both Ameleigh and Aseel created incredible dishes, as you can see below, with the leading judge, 2 Michelin-starred Hywel Griffiths of Oxwich Beach House, keeping a careful eye throughout the cooking, presenting and tasting stages. Against incredible competition, we are thrilled that Ameleigh won! She will now head to the Wales final in January, to try and win a place in the UK final in London.
